RULES TO BE FOLLOWED DURING VISITS

Mosques, Churches, Synagogues and Various Places of Worship

  • Be sure to take off your shoes when entering mosques and leave them in the section reserved for them.
  • Make sure you silence your phone or turn it off completely.
  • Do not take photos or videos.
  • Do not make phone calls.
  • Do not speak loudly.
  • Do not enter with food or drink.
  • Do not chew gum.
  • Pay attention to the gender rules at the entrances.
  • For female guests, use headscarves, use tops and skirts that do not reveal the body lines. You can get it from the entrance of the relevant place of worship.
  • Do not engage in dialogue with worshipers. You can communicate after the worship is over.
  • Respect people who worship. Do not pass in front of people who are performing prayers in mosques.
  • Do not hesitate to contact the heads of places of worship for information. You can contact the heads of places of worship before or after the worship begins.
  • Follow the extra rules specified at the entrances of various places of worship.

Museums, Private Museums, Protected Areas and Ruins

  • It may be necessary to present ID, Passport and buy tickets at the entrances. Follow the directions of the relevant place.
